The Castle Couple Who Couldn’t Stand Each Other In Real Life
I’m told he refused to film the Caskett wedding scene which was supposed to end season six, for fear it meant that he and Stana would be spending more time together in season seven, leaving producers scrambling. Instead of a wedding, fans got the unfortunate last minute “car crash” cliff-hanger. It was only when Nathan saw all the negative fan reaction that he allowed the producers to “right the ship” in season seven.
However, in the season 2 finale, Beckett breaks off the relationship, claiming that it “isn’t what [she’s] looking for right now”. Demming asks her what she is looking for and she merely looks away. In the season 5 finale, “Watershed”, Castle proposes to Beckett. In “Knockout”, Beckett tells Castle he and she are “over” after his unsuccessful attempt to dissuade her from continuing her obsessive pursuit of Hal Lockwood, an assassin connected to her mother’s murder.
“The friction was very evident. Nathan has been nasty to Stana for a long time. Stana was a pro, just wanted to get in there and do her job.” Castle then offers a $250,000 reward for information regarding his missing time. Some long-time co-stars may develop a natural cancellation behind them and eventually start dating or marry in real life. I can’t pretend that what’s going on now is anywhere near the quality of what’s been in the past. Doing so would be unfair to how great those seasons were. All in all, I love the show, in every direction it’s going. And some fans should be a bit more appreciative, and less judgy. Yes, I do think the dynamic and characteristic have changed a bit, but it’s reasonable and mostly lovely. But I will slightly agree with you, because I do think that the producers of the next episodes, should probably lay off with “booty-calls” and remind us more of the attraction they had .
Even of they don’t get along like they used to they are proffesionals who work together to bring us the show. They demand less scenes but they don’t mind doing intimate bed scenes? There has been rumors of stana and Nathan not getting along since I started watching back Castle back in season 3 always going to be rumors until it finishes. I’ll agree that the chemistry has changed and is different from last season’s but they are both now in serious relationships in their personal lIves which is probably a big factor. Why not just enjoy the hour of tv each week and if not enjoying it well just watch something else there is still plenty of fans who like the show. Sure, one of the flaws in the second half of the Castle series is the way the show didn’t want to delve more into that intensity when appropriate.
